The Hotel Guru is pretty upscale but fun to look at. Marcie Ellers.
“Elegant and instantly welcoming B&B in the centre of town. Full of warmth, colour and personality. Only three rooms in this intimate family home full of antiques. Traditional breakfasts served in a spacious Victorian dining room on blue and white china. A charming base for local exploring.”

Hotel Review
“iWe don’t normally list family run b&bs, but Hanover House deserves inclusion: an elegant 19thC Italianate city centre townhouse, once the childhood home of Edward Elgar’s wife. Owners Veronica and James Ritchie are musical too, and their house is full of warmth, colour and personality. Sitting room and guest bedrooms (three) are full of books, paintings, vivid rugs and throws, and several have triple arched windows. Bathrooms are stylish and full of pampering products, and Veronica’s organic breakfast in the homely kitchen is a treat.”
