“Small but perfectly formed this three bed guesthouse is a home away from home. Providing 360° views of Hawalbagh and the surrounding valley and forests. Food is fresh, home-cooked and delicious. Whilst rooms are simple the relaxing atmosphere and charming hosts make Innisfree a delightful stay.”

Hotel Review

Brought to you by Julia and Lat of Innisfree Farm fame, Innisfree Hawalbagh promises to be quite the success. A homestay in the truest sense, Julia is a superlatively attentive host and greets you like an old friend. Following a glass of rhododendron cordial (a local favourite) out on the terrace make your way to your well sized room. There's no denying that they are simple: this property is for those in search of an authentic experience. But what the property lacks in luxury it makes up for in views and hospitality. The food is certainly something to write home about. Julia is a real whizz in kitchen and has a vast knowledge of local dishes, plants and herbs. You'll be tucking into suppers of biblical proportions, plus breakfast spreads of banana pancakes and homemade dulce de leche is an indulgent treat. Take one - or more likely four - of the resident dogs down to the nearby river. A a great way to walk off your feasting. And if you're feeling brave, jump in. There really is nothing more invigorating than a wild swim in the foothills of the Himalayas! A great little property that homestay lovers and those interested in nature, walking and the great outdoors will love.
