“A charming B&B in the heart of Provence. Two guest rooms offer elegant accommodation and there's a pretty garden and pool. Easy access to the surrounding sights - Aix en Provence is 30 mins away - or a lovely spot for some grown-up relaxation.”

Hotel Review

Le petit Figuier is located in the old part of La Roque d'Anthéron and right in the centre. It's a charming Provençal village and famous for its annual music festival (events are held throughout July and August). With just two guest rooms and no children under 16, this is a grown up property and an oasis of relaxation and peace. The accommodation is eclectic in style, rooms are decorated in gentle hues and both provide en suite or private facilities plus bathrobes and pool towels. There's a charming hall/sitting area with a piano and plenty of books to borrow. Breakfast is served outside on the terrace - it's a generous affair with all the usual croissants, pains au chocolat and breads plus Greek yoghurt, local honey and much more. A charming bolt-hole from which to explore wider Provence, that won't break the bank.

Why do people love staying in your hotel?
Guests love our old house (300 years old this year). Our ceilings are tall and arched, and we know our guests love their rooms for their character and charm, the cosiness of the house, and our little pretty garden with pool.

What is there to do in the area or on site?
We have a big famous music festival for 4 weeks in July/August, and thousands of people come to our village. It's part of the Aix Festival. There are lots of lovely Provencal markets only a short drive away. Plus you'll find film evenings at a couple of chateaux only a short drive away and music evenings...Quite simply there are too many to mention... this region is very busy in the summer months!

What kind of breakfast do you offer?
Our breakfast includes, croissants, pain au chocolat, bread (we have a super baker in our village), Greek yogurt, cereals, local and Acacia honey, various homemade jams, different fruits including Cavaillon melon, milk, orange juice, coffee/tea/hot chocolate...some have complained there's too much, the rest say, we are not having lunch today!

We serve breakfast on the terrace in our garden, this is also where we ask our guests, after they have settle into their room, to come down and have glass or two of the local rosé and some nibbles, while we tell them about wi-fi, keys how to get in and out of this old house, and other practicalities...and very importantly say properly hello!

Do you offer other meals? And can you recommend good places to eat out locally?
We do not offer other meals. We have a super restaurant 2min walk away from our house, but a couple of other restaurant in our village are very nice too, else it's a short drive away...we have lots of nice restaurants we can recommend, and we always offer to call and book a table for our guests...in the high season it is a necessity anyway, but with some, all year round!

Which are your most popular room types, and why?
We only have 2 rooms, both on the 2nd floor and both are popular

Tamara Room...24.5sqm...

1 king size bed (1.60x2.05), 1 daybed (0.90x2.05), en-suite shower room, A/C, balcony with little table and 2 chairs...with lovely views, armoire, desk, chairs, chest of drawers, bench for suitcases.

Rose Room...24sqm...

2 sing beds (0.90x1.95), 1 daybed (0.90x2.05), separate private shower room, private separate toilet, A/C, pretty view out the window, armoire, desk, chairs, chest of drawers, bench and suit case stands.
Please note that both rooms are on the second floor, so not suitable for anyone who is unable to climb the stairs.

What facilities do you have for children and can you fit extra beds in your rooms ?
Le petit Figuier is an adults only property.
