“An historic hotel set in the heart of Broadway boasting an extensive and impressive guestlist including King Charles I and Oliver Cromwell. Rooms are filled with antiques and have walls adorned with classic artwork. Plump for a wood panelled suite for a truly indulgent stay. Superb restaurant.”

The Lygon Arms

This renowned Cotswolds hotel is one of Britain's most historic inns – its guest list has included both King Charles I and Oliver Cromwell (but not quite at the same time). It's close to galleries and museums (including the Gordon Russell Museum), on the doorstep to beautiful walks, and has a terrific spa.

The Lygon Arms

The 86 rooms have an old-fashioned feel, with plenty of antique furniture; some pieces are by Gordon Russell, one of Britain’s leading designers in the 1930s (whose father once owned the hotel).
