“Beautiful 18th century Laird's house ideally situated for exploring the little known area of Angus. Two charming, immaculate bedrooms with chintzy, traditional interiors. A glorious garden and delicious food from the Cordon Bleu trained owner. A hidden gem.”

Hotel Review

An exceptionally pretty 18th century Lairds house in lovely countryside between Dundee and Aberdeen. Newtonmill offers two charming B&B rooms. The decor is traditional with pretty wallpaper and fabrics, furnished with beautiful antiques and period pieces. Everything is immaculate from the bedrooms and bathrooms to the sitting room and dining room, but the major attraction here is the gardens. They are quite simply spectacular with many flower varieties (some of which were donated by the Queen Mother from her Castle of Mey gardens) and loads of fruit and vegetables (which are used as often as possible in dinners and breakfasts). Owner Rose is a cordon blue trained cook, so breakfasts are delicious and she will cook dinner on request (or a simpler two course supper if you prefer).
