Hotel Overview

“You enter the Edinburgh Residence's reception hall through over-sized wooden doors tall enough to ride through on horseback. With the atrium-style reception hall, it's all wood panelling and soft carpets, with a gracious staircase to the upper floors. There's also an elevator – a rare luxury in a building of this vintage in Edinburgh. Wheelchair access from the private car park is another rare bonus.
The ground floor lounge has tall windows that offer views over the rooftops of Dean Village to the Fife hills. It's furnished with comfy sofas and armchairs, with a mini-library of paperbacks, coffee-table books and games, and an array of complimentary newspapers and magazines. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served here on request, as are drinks and afternoon tea.
Upstairs, you'll find three suite styles, ranging in size from spacious double-bedded rooms with a sitting area to enormous apartments with double bedroom and a large sitting room with pull-down twin beds. Rooms have stock-yourself mini-fridges (milk and mineral water are free), tea and coffee maker, and microwave. Ceilings are high, colours are neutral tones of cream, grey, green and burgundy, and the large bathrooms all have shower and tub. Breakfast (including full Scottish) can be served in rooms or in the lounge.”
