Hotel Overview

“Far from resting on its laurels as a grand London hotel of note, this West End institution is coming to the end of a decade of refurbishment that brings it up to date in plush style. The new £7.5million Regent Wing of 40 suites and the six-bedroom £2.5 million Sterling Suite show the hotel’s set its sights on moneyed guests with high expectations, but affordable Superior and Deluxe Rooms will still satisfy visitors’ thirst for five-star luxury. Deluxe Rooms feature a well-appointed suite of sleeping area and office area featuring high-end beds, full-size desk and Nespresso machine. An oversized Deco-feel marble bathroom with separate shower stall and bath brings olde-world luxury and offers space for a pampering time-out. The new Langham Club Lounge – access is complimentary with Club rooms and above or for a daily fee - is a chic chill-out space in which an army of attendants rush to provide drinks and food, including an impressive spread of pre-dinner canapés. Relaxation can be found in the new Chuan Spa, where a pricey array of treatments is on offer, or in the hotel’s health and fitness area featuring underground pool and Jacuzzi. The Langham’s reception rooms still retain their Victorian grandeur, with high ceilings and marble columns, and its Palm Court remains a showy magnet for takers of high tea. This grande dame of hotels has hung on to its Victorian elegance while delivering upscale up-to-date ambience. Its affordable rooms and suites are an excellent choice for special occasions or a few days’ treat.”

Other Reviews

The Langham, London

'One of London's oldest grand hotels, located off Regent Street. Roux at the Landau is one of the city's finest hotel restaurants, offering dinner in an elegant rotunda and menus from Michel Roux Jr and his father Albert. Its bar, Artesian, which serves up fantastical cocktails, is award winning.'
