Hotel Review

Once a coaching inn BULL Burford is now an 18-room boutique hotel in the heart of Burford right on the High Street. Art-lovers will love and appreciate the collection of design pieces and artwork from the likes of Bacon, Banksy, Dalki, Warhol and Hirst to name a few. Newly renovated the rooms are sultry, with walls and ceilings painted in earthy colours in a tadelakt style complimented by Moroccan rugs and eclectic artwork. Marble bathrooms feature large walk-in showers and underfloor heating and the lush Wildsmith bath and body products. No coffee or tea in the rooms which we found rather disappoinying but there is a pantry where you can help yourself to drinks and snacks. There's an all-day dining menu giving you flexilbity to eat where and when you like or you can choose from the various dining options including WILD which is open during the warmer months with seating outside, HIRO a small omakase restaurant led by Hiromi Wada, former Nobu head chef, HORN a casual dining experience for great conversation and good British food (and where breakast is served) or GRAZE which is open day and night for freshly prepared street food and cocktails. The breakfast menu is short and limited in choice and service was nonchalant and inexperienced - but it;s early days and it's worth a night if you're an avid art lover.
