Hotel Review

Country chic meets classical elegance at Burleigh Court, a gorgeous early 19th-century manor house set in the heart of the Cotswolds. A hotel that can genuinely be called a home from home with its open fires, panelled dining room and cosy, but spacious rooms. The bath and bod products are organic and own brand, complemented by fragrant diffusers. Beds are large with plenty of pillows and bathrooms feature heated towel rails and power showers as standard. The 18 rooms and suites (six are dog-friendly) are spread betweeen the main house and coach house next door and are furnished in a classic style, with most boasting views over the stunning Golden valley. Families or those travelling with dogs should try and book the coach house options; the two coach house rooms, up some steps, are next to the pool and can also be connected, ideal for a family of four. The panelled restaurant at Burleigh Court is open to hotel guests and non-residents and is the best restaurant in the area with impeccable service to match. The award-winning food delivers on every level with most of the ingredients local and many grown in the hotel's own kitchen garden. The Cotswolds are known for excellent Afternoon Teas and Burleigh Court's is an absolute treat at any time of the year. The focus here is on being a very good hotel, in a great location with a fantastic restaurant, a simple yet excellent recipe for success.
