“If you knew the quaint, beamed Notre Dame a few years ago, you're in for a big surprise. Parisian favourite Christian Lacroix has been at work, and given the hotel a complete makeover. The lobby now has a cool, contemporary look and each of the 26 bedrooms is a riot of colour and pattern. Yours might have ‘cowhide’ wallpaper or carpet designed to look like Medieval paving. The location is unbeatable: in the heart of the city, with fabulous views of its namesake cathedral. No surprise that you pay for the view, but there are often bargain rates for rooms without it.”
