Hotel Overview

“High wrought-iron gates protect this lovely 19th-century villa from the trippers who flock to car-free, postcard-pretty Sirmione. The house has a glorious setting in large lakeside gardens, a neoclassical porticoed-façade and an interior, appealing for its quirky, latter-day charm. With parquet in the ‘30s-style bedrooms and marble floors, frescoes and antiques downstairs, little seems to have changed over the decades. Unfortunately this includes the plumbing, which produces boiling or icy water on a whim. Bonuses include a private swimming jetty and gorgeous pool in a sunny spot.”

See What They Say

“The neoclassical style villa was erected in 1870 by the Austrian nobleman Kurt von Koseritz, great connoisseur of art and Italian culture. The park extends over an area of 4 hectares of land that descends towards the lake shore. From the second half of the 20th century, after a considerable structural enlargement, the villa was transformed into a hotel of great quality and prestige. In the 1970s a local enterprising entrepreneur acquired the property and thanks to an attentive and complete restructuring restored the antique splendour to the house.”
