Hotel Review

At Four Seasons Koh Samui, guests are treated to the ultimate luxury: utter peace and quiet. Occupying a prime position on the unblemished northwestern tip of the island, the resort artfully melts into the cliffside, its thatched roofs and chic neutral exteriors keeping a low profile compared to the colourful jungle surroundings. But that doesn’t mean any corners are cut when it comes to luxury: each of the 70 private villas come with their own plunge pool, oodles of outdoor space and Thai-style contemporary decor with soothing aqua accents. The spectacularly comfortable interiors beg to be enjoyed, but the al fresco area – with views that stretch from swaying coconut trees to a tropical beach below – is simply unmissable. When you feel ready to rouse yourself, wander down to the hotel’s private beach, a flawless stretch of golden sand lined by emerald waters. Splash around with the complimentary kayaks, boogie boards, stand-up paddle boards and snorkeling gear or stay busy with a cocktail class at the beachside CoCoRum bar. Make sure to check out the Rum Vault, a cavernous space that showcases the resort’s collection of local and imported rums through educational tastings.

Why do people love staying in your hotel?
Four Seasons Resort Koh Samui gives guests an 'away from it all' tropical island experience. The highlight is the privacy of the villas with private pool and infinite views of the Gulf of Siam. The untouched landscape is another reason guests choose to stay with us.

What is there to do in the area?
There's a lot to discover around Koh Samui, particularly if you are a nature enthusiast. From cycling tours to snorkelling experiences, there's something for all. Our newly-launched Coral Conservation Project is suited for those who love the water, marine life and would like to discover more with our in-house marine biologists.

What kind of breakfast do you offer?
We have both Thai and western cuisine on the menu. Some of the highlights are the home-made yoghuts with fresh fruits, Executive Chef Chris Patzold's dry-aged beef and Executive Pastry Chef Dustin Baxter's Sour dough bread

Do you offer other meals? And can you recommend good places to eat out locally?
Yes, we offer all meals, as well as Afternoon Tea and Sunday Brunch. We have a themed dinner every evening ranging from beach barbecue https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LlP1N8tZ9n0 to Latin American cuisine night at Cocorum Bar and Restaurant at our pool side overlooking the sea. Our Concierge will recommend some restaurants depending on cuisine - there's a lot of options in Koh Samui!

Which are your most popular room types, and why?
The Residences, comprising 2-5 bedrooms are the most popular. They give families the privacy they long for, in addition to have the comfort of a housekeeper (called Mae Baan in Thai) who is available round the clock. The infinity private pool, multiple outdoor lounge decks, living space and comfortable rooms make for a memorable family vacation.

What facilities do you have for children and can you fit extra beds in your rooms ? Kids for All Seasons is a programme that runs across Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts. We have a Kids Club that has learning activities every day for children. We also offer creche facilities at an additional charge. Yes, we can fit extra beds in our rooms and we go all out to prepare for our young guests https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TosRb1gndH8

What message would you like to give Hotel Guru readers?
Welcome to paradise - there's nothing like this experience on Koh Samui island!
