Best Hotels in Bruges with a Canal View
Bruges is known for being a beautiful fairytale of a destination, but the most charming and historic part of Bruges sits within the loop of the main canal. This is where the most impressive of Bruges’ medieval architecture is clustered, along narrow, cobble-lined streets, which open out onto grand squares, or tiny parks or bridges. So, as well as the pretty canal, hotels with canal views also offer the most picturesque views of Bruges. The Markt is the medieval marketplace in the centre of Bruges, with the Befort (belfry) on one side and the Burg on another, and there are some rather grand five star, canal view hotels just behind the Burg. Dijver and Braambergstraat are very pleasant roads with canal views and luxury accommodation.
