From the moment you step off the boat at Cayo Espanto's small harbour to the moment you get back on the boat back to Belize City, your struck by the magnificence of the place. A tiny tropical island inhabited by seven luxurious villas, Cayo Espanto is something special. Each villa is tastefully decorated with luxurious furnishings, boasting great views out to sea. The most extravagant of the villa's is built on a pontoon surrounding by the sea. Spend the day reclining by the private plunge pool that accompanies each house or take a boat trip to explore local caves. There's a personal houseman on hand twenty-four hours a day to meet your every need and the chef will prepare daily menus based on your requests. Fishing enthusiasts will relish the chance to go fly fishing for bone fish. An island made for honeymoons. The only caveat is that there's a four night minimum stay but then again, maybe that's not such a bad thing.
