"Set between Bentara River and Bentota Beach, Sri Lanka's Cinnamon Bentota Beach has reopened after a loving restoration of over two years. Designed by legendary architect Geoffrey Bawa in 1967, the hotel exemplifies his tropical modernism style with its flowing spaces, lush greenery and locally sourced materials and craftsmanship. The refurbishment was led by renowned architect Channa Daswatte, the last partner at Bawa's architectural firm. Rooms and suites come with private balconies overlooking the garden, sea or river, and there's plenty to do at the resort and beyond."
