Hotel Review

Having undergone a revamp 5 years back (with seemingly no expense spared) this once privately owned home dating back from 1847 has been brought into the 21st century yet it still holds onto its elegant and regal past. Interiors are refined and sophisticated with a large twisting staircase dominating the lobby, high ceilings, antique furniture and sash windows. The clean white washed walls, soft hues, black and white photography and restrained design gives a distinctly modern air. Rooms, although not enormous, are light and airy with wooden floors, crisp white linen and floor to ceiling windows (the beds are exceptionally comfy too). A recently opened terrace adds some serious cool with glamorous day time lounging and evenings filled with cocktails and music. Staff are friendly and attentive and the central location is pitch perfect too. Highly recommended.
