“Breathtaking modern design meets ancient history at Sala Ayutthaya’s boutique offering on the banks of the Chao Phraya river. White on white rooms are the essence of cool with plenty of glass, freestanding tubs and simple wooden beams. An art gallery and courtyard pool are the icing on the cake.”

Hotel Review

Sightsee from the comfort of your bedroom at this intimate branch of the SALA Hospitality Group hotel chain. Located in historic Ayutthaya – the capital of Thailand until 1767 – the hotel’s prized location on the banks of the Chao Phraya means views of the ruins can be enjoyed while sitting at the excellent riverside restaurant. The hotel takes a distinctly modern approach to design despite its proximity to ancient history, with a striking red-brick corridor that carves through the Mediterranean-inspired whitewashed interior. Generously-sized bedrooms continue in this theme, their stylish simplicity accentuated by wooden beams, freestanding bathtubs and enormous beds. Upgrade to a river view room for floor-to-ceiling windows that gloriously showcase Ayutthaya’s sights, then glam yourself up and head to the white marble swimming pool for some serious relaxation.
