Hotel Review

Delicious home cooked food is the big draw to this Berber style farm in the mountains outside Chefchaouen. Lovingly prepared meals - well spiced tagine, heartwarming lentils eaten with wooden spoons and fresh salads are to be enjoyed here in a no frills restaurant. True rustic simplicity is the feel of the guest accommodation found in separate two-storey buildings in the garden. Decorative hand carved doors open onto spacious rooms furnished with country-style hand painted cupboards chunky wooden beds, seating covered with brightly coloured and textured material and large open stone fireplaces, lit on cold nights. Beamed ceilings lined with bamboo and checkered tiled floors covered with homespun rugs make for a cosy cabin feel. Bathrooms have natural stone floors and tadelakt walls. When darkness falls the garden comes to life with a nocturnal symphony played out between the cicadas and frogs. Breakfast is a relaxed buffet affair.
