Hotel Review

Kasbah Angour is a boutique hotel in a gorgeous Berber castle 30 minutes from Marrakech. Perched on a hill-top in the foot-hills of the High Atlas Mountains, the Kasbah has superb panoramic views. The 25 bedrooms and suites are constructed from traditional Moroccan materials and the locally made furniture has Berber motifs. The Kasbah has beautiful gardens, a large swimming pool and offers wonderful local excursions. Service is by charming local Berber staff.

Why do people love staying in your hotel? Wonderful ambience of space, beauty and tranquility What is there to do in the area? Opportunity to explore the spectacular Atlas Mountains and discover the life of the friendly local Moroccan Berbers. We offer a wide range of activities including half and full day walks, car excursions, 4x4 circuits, camel rides and mule trekking. What kind of breakfast do you offer? An extensive hot and cold breakfast, including both English & Moroccan Berber choices (e.g. Berber eggs with tomatoes, breakfast pancakes with honey) and, of course, freshly-squeezed orange juice. Do you offer other meals? And can you recommend good places to eat out locally? Our restaurant offers both lunch and dinner. We use fresh seasonal produce to prepare dishes using Moroccan and Mediterranean recipes. As we are in the mountains, there are no other nearby restaurants. Which are your most popular room types, and why? Adrar rooms. “Adrar” is Moroccan Berber for “mountain” and these rooms are very quiet with views across the gardens to the summits of the mountains. What message would you like to give Hotel Guru readers? Come and stay at Kasbah Angour and discover the “real” Morocco. The Kasbah was built using local craftsmen and is a show-case for Moroccan arts & crafts traditions. You will be served by charming local staff who are really pleased that you have come to visit the Atlas Mountains.
