“Charming, independently owned boutique hotel in Cirencester. Inside, vibrant art meets cozy fireplaces, creating a welcoming retreat - relaxation and adventure. Ideal for families and their four-legged friends on a Cotswolds adventure”

Hotel review

Classically positioned, this former coaching inn is in the heart of the Cotswolds, a region of agricultural neatness and prosperity. Charming and unique interiors celebrate Cotswold artisanal craftsmanship and its cultural heritage. Fabrics and wallpapers by iconic local designer, William Morris, and artisanal finishes by local craftspeople complement the building’s many original features dating from Medieval, Tudor and Georgian times.

The 64 rooms are all individual, thoughtfully curated and furnished in contemporary style, whilst highlighting period details such as pitched ceilings, exposed stone walls, oak beams, fireplaces and Georgian wood panelling, depending on which part of the building you’re in. Rooms also feature luxury linens, Nespresso machines, homemade cookies, complimentary Wi-Fi, smart TVs, whilst en-suite bathrooms feature walk-in showers, some with free-standing baths, and Bramley toiletries. Children under 12 can stay for free and some rooms even allow for dogs.

The all-day brasserie with 80 covers offers well-priced modern British menus of elevated pub classics and more innovative dishes of local, sustainably sourced and seasonally relevant produce showcasing local suppliers and producers wherever possible, alongside fresh daily fish deliveries from Devon. Perfect for a working breakfast, meeting up with friends for brunch, lunch or afternoon tea or, a romantic supper or family gathering, with vegetarian and vegan options available on every menu and a dedicated children’s menu too.

It is warm and inviting to take afternoon tea after shopping amongst the neighbouring stalls and boutiques or walking within Cirencester Park.
