Rendered in a refreshing, Pop Art palette of reds, whites and blues, this small clifftop hotel has been carefully curated by its interior designer owner. Guests will feel like they’ve stepped into a painting – perhaps one of David Hockney’s swimming pools – and the walls of its social spaces are peppered with intriguing objet. Each bedroom is unique – yours might feature wall-to-wall tiling, a reading nook, or a model ship – and all go big on sea views, with gigantic picture windows and small balconies. Though there’s no restaurant, the buffet breakfast here is a cut above the usual spread. Friendly young staff serve a cornucopia of southern Italy’s finest produce on the spacious terrace – also home to a scenically-set whirlpool bath.
