Many have been put off the Algarve as a holiday destination because of the hordes of tourists who crowd the pretty beaches in the summer. The countryside surrounding the coast is often neglected by visitors, but it offers some of the most beautiful landscapes in the region, and often a quieter, more relaxed atmosphere for holidaymakers. This understated country estate has undergone a full renovation to accommodate guests in six rooms within an intimate farm setting. The rooms are spacious, bright and comfortable; the suites have beautiful private terraces which are perfect for a peaceful start to the morning. One of the best things about this guesthouse is the family feel; with food still being produced on the land, you can participate in the life of the farm with a cooking class using the organic ingredients grown on the estate. The perfectly tranquil setting allows you to take in the best of the fresh Algarve air and sea views. With the historic centre of Tavira close by as well as beautiful beaches, the location is win-win. Overall, a divine country bolt-hole.
