Positioned in the heart of ritzy Syntagma Square, the Gatsby is squarely directed at people who like a good party - as one might expect from a hotel named after a 1920s playboy. The lively reception, filled with voluminous floral displays, and giant rabbits during Easter, pulses with upbeat music even at breakfast. Adjacent to the lobby is a chic cocktail bar which is a good spot for a martini and people-watching before heading out for dinner. The rooms however are quiet and comfortable, and spacious enough to make them feel like little apartments, with large, plant-filled terraces overlooking the bustling streets. Lighting can be adjusted to a 'naughty' setting - after figuring out how the slightly complex electronic panels work.
