“Kandy's first luxury boutique hotel, housed in an 1804 walauwa on 6-acres of lush gardens. Interiors have been beautifully restored, marrying traditional materials and features with contemporary minimalism and style. The food is haute-Sri Lankan cuisine crafted from local ingredients. Unbeatable.”

Hotel Review

The Kandy House will take you on a journey back to its roots as the home of an aristocratic Sri Lankan family. The central focus of the hotel is the courtyard, where everything happens from dinner to traditional dancing. Each luxurious room comes with a private butler, a touch that would seem over the top if it wasn't for the effortless and elegant way this hotel presents itself. We recommend the Pioneer, which is closest to the magical freshwater infinity pool and comes with its own veranda, slice of garden and hammock. You will be woken each morning by the sounds of birdsong, and sometimes the soothing chanting coming from the next door Buddhist monastery.
