Achingly luxurious and popular amongst business travellers because of its location and discreet service. Designed by Singapore architects RSP, The Oberoi Gurgaon is representative of where this corner of India is heading. Gurgaon is a business hub with a skyline spliced with shiny tower blocks. The cubist masterpiece is spread across two glass squares, surrounded by a (larger than Olympic sized) pool. Some have likened it to a modern day moat surrounding this castle to modern day royalty. Boasting a 24 hour spa and gym, personal butler service, tennis courts and yoga classes guests are left wanting for nothing. With the same lavish flair for design that all Oberoi’s evoke, all artworks are commissioned as part of a program supporting contemporary Indian artists. The lobby is a cavernous space of larger than life flower arrangements, silk embroidery and mother-of-pearl inlay. From the moment you arrive, you are in the lap of luxury. ThreeSixtyOne serves up top class Chinese, Japanese and Indian cuisine which can be enjoyed indoors or poolside. Evening drinks can be sipped at the effortlessly chic Piano Bar. As with everything at this hotel the rooms are state of the art and thanks to the hotel’s modern design are all of an excellent design. Whilst they may be somewhat more conservative than other properties, they have all the mod cons including separate living areas and cavernous baths. A one stop shop for business travel or those wanting to easy access to Indira Gandhi airport, away from the furore of Delhi.

A 202-room stainless steel–and-glass low-rise tower close to the international airport (but far from downtown New Delhi). Rooms overlook a central reflecting pool or an acre of landscaped gardens; a separate tower houses the lobby, restaurants, a piano bar, and a cigar lounge.
