The vibe is that of an upscale beach house, rather than a hotel, guests are welcomed as friends and told to 'make yourself at home'. This continues throughout the interiors, where cut and paste furnishing and lobby areas have been thrown to the wayside in favour of coffee tables filled with fascinating books, reclaimed teak floorboards and wicker lampshades. The restaurant favours local, seasonal ingredients, and crafts almost everything in house from scratch. And it's guests only. The Surfrider Suite comes with hammocks and loungers, and an outdoor eating area that faces the sunset- bliss!
