Set by Copenhagen's central station in the hippest part of town, Meininger Hotel Copenhagen is a cool hotel-hostel hybrid that caters to travellers looking for a trendy place to stay on a budget. It’s not just for younger folk, as it’s popular with families and older guests, too. Shared or private rooms are clean and spacious, with comfy beds and free lockers. Its funky common areas are designed to look great on social media, including the chic laundrette (its most photographed room apparently), ‘hangover room’ and work spaces. Rent a bicycle, listen to live music in the large restaurant-bar or join a walking tour.
