The Hotel Guru is pretty upscale but fun to look at. Marcie Ellers.
“Sophisticated and smart townhouse hotel. Sultry interiors combine black lacquered furniture, black and white photography, and spotless white walls. High tech bedrooms are similarly classic and have stand alone bath tubs. Fashionable bar and restaurant and extensive library. A grown up spot.”

Hotel Review
“This romantic bolthole, in the fashionable Ixelles district, is a great choice for special celebrations or if you just want to treat yourself. Very grown-up, in shades of black and grey, with thick carpets, moody photographs and white-marble bathrooms, it feels like a private members club - especially as there are only seven rooms.
A wall of photographs of classic stars and celebrities sets the scene in the lounge-bar, with its shiny bar-top and velvet seats and sofas. Guests can dine in here or in the adjoining dining-room, with its mirrored wall, candles and seductive photographs. Food is an interesting pan-Asian menu. The city centre is around 40 minutes if walking, but there are good tram and bus services, and you certainly avoid the tourist hordes by staying here. You're also close to Avenue Louise's smart shops.”
