About Praslin

Praslin, the second-largest island in the Seychelles, is a true paradise known for its breathtaking natural beauty. With lush tropical forests, striking granite boulders, and powdery white beaches, the island offers an enchanting escape for every type of traveller. The northern part of the island is home to luxurious resorts with private beaches and exclusive amenities, perfect for a romantic escape. If you’re looking for family-friendly options, head to the central area where you’ll find spacious hotels with easy access to activities and the beach. For those on a budget, the southern side offers affordable yet charming accommodations, ideal for those who want to experience paradise without the high price tag.

Praslin is a paradise for nature lovers and beachgoers alike. The Vallée de Mai, a UNESCO World Heritage site, is a must-visit for hikers, offering a chance to see the famous coco de mer and rare wildlife like the Seychelles Black Parrot. The island is also home to some of the Seychelles' most stunning beaches, including Anse Lazio, often ranked among the best, as well as Anse Volbert and Grand Anse. For a more secluded experience, the nearby islands of Aride, Cousin, and Curieuse offer a peaceful, castaway atmosphere.

Travel Information

  • If you don’t have your own private yacht or boat the only international gateway to the Seychelles is the Seychelles International Airport near the capital, Victoria on Mahé. From there you’ll need to take one of the regular flights between Mahé and Praslin. You can also get around by chartering a helicopter, or charter plane, or by ferry.
  • If you’re thinking about hiring a car we recommend checking what our online partners, Rentalcars have to offer.
  • The Seychelles are generally hot and humid, with the drier, cooler season between May and September and the hotter, wetter season between November and March. The missing months are the changeover months: April is the calmest and warmest month, when the winds are changing direction, and November is warm with light winds, again as they change direction.
