“A boutique stay in Cusco’s historic San Blas, a short stroll from the main square. Hand-carved wood, soft lighting and a fireplace courtyard create a warm, lived-in feel. There’s an indulgent spa, yoga studio and a solid restaurant for slow evenings. Easy, cosy and well placed.”

Hotel review

Tucked away on a quieter street in Cusco, this spot feels like a bit of a hidden gem - close enough to the main plaza to wander over easily, but far enough that you’re not dealing with the constant buzz. It’s the kind of place you’re glad to come back to after a long day out.

The interiors are tasteful and stylish without trying too hard. There is lots of hand-carved wood, a leafy courtyard with fireplaces that make it feel especially inviting, and even the hallways have personality with artwork lining the walls. It just feels thoughtfully put together.

The rooms are properly cosy, with good heating (which you’ll appreciate in Cusco), soft rugs, solid soundproofing and nice little touches like hot water bottles and sleepy-time tea at turndown that honestly make a difference and stick in your memory long after you've checked out. If you can, go for a room facing the courtyard - it’s quieter and has a really calming vibe.

Food is a real highlight here, with a mix of buffet and made-to-order breakfast that actually feels worth getting up for (a special mention for the breakfast sandwich!) plus a delicious dinner menu of local and international dishes. The bar is a great spot to settle into, especially for local cocktails in the evening.

The spa felt like more than just an afterthought too. After being out at altitude all day, the sauna, hot tub, and massages hit the spot. It’s clearly designed for proper relaxation, not just ticking a box. What really ties it all together is the staff - they’re warm and attentive, but never over the top. Everything flows smoothly, making the whole stay feel easy and comfortable.
