Chic and sophisticated restaurant with rooms, is a wake-up call for the market town of Frome and a serious challenge to glamorous rivals in nearby Bath. The attention to style is evident in the beautifully lit restaurant; the minimalist bedrooms, with freestanding hip baths; the rich colours and occasional guardian angels on the walls. There is a private dining room, an opulent library and intimate bars. The local staff are friendly and the imaginative English cuisine tastes as good as it looks.
