“A luxury resort on Corfu’s Kommeno Peninsula with sweeping Ionian views. Marble, palms, and olive groves give it a calm, elegant vibe. Multiple pools, private beaches, and diverse dining options keep things lively. Sophisticated yet relaxed.”

Hotel review

The Corfu Imperial sits in glorious privacy at the tip of the Kommeno Peninsula, surrounded by trim grounds. Villas (in the rose-pink livery that is de rigueur in Corfu) with private pools flank the main building, where four floors of guest rooms rise above a vast, marble-lined lobby, palatial lounge and reception area, where smartly-uniformed staff offer a glass of freshly-pressed juice while checking you in. In public areas and in rooms, the overall style is classic, even aristocratic, with vintage furnishings and works of art. Creamy-white stucco and polished wood predominate, while satin and velvet cushions add colour and glitz. Once you've changed into your fluffy bathrobe and settled in, you may not want to leave your room, with its view of the bright blue Ionian and green hills beyond, but when you do, more pleasures await. Service is slickly professional (staff wear smart-casual white and khaki cottons during the day, then change into trim black outfits after dark). The menu in restaurants including poolside Nafsika, seaside Yali, and the a la carte Aristo spans Greek favourites, Mediterranean fusion and classic European. Breakfast buffet is lavish, including champagne and a huge array of cold cuts and hot dishes. It's served on the terrace of the gracious Mon Repos, which also provides a lunch buffet. There's a seemingly endless array of sports and activities for young and old, ranging from pilates and zumba sessions to basketball, archery and mini-soccer. A complimentary daily shuttle will whisk you to Corfu Town for sightseeing and shopping, and fans of The Durrells can visit Grecotel's Dannilia, the picture-perfect recreated village where the show was shot.

Map & Location

See what they say

Why do people love staying in your hotel? Our guests love Corfu Imperial because of its seamless service, outstanding sea views from everywhere in the property and because it is located right at the tip of the Kommeno Peninsula, a Grecotel private peninsula that is a green haven.  What is there to do in the area? Grecotel guests can visit the Danilia Village, a 1930s inspired village. Once left to deteriorate, Danilia Village was restored to its former glory by the Daskalantonakis family, proprietors of Grecotel, the leading luxury hotels and resorts collection in Greece. But rather than turning Grecotel Danilia Village into a hotel, the Daskalantonakis family maintained the charm of an original Corfu town with open-air village squares, narrow lanes and an iconic church. Just under 5 miles from the Old Town of Corfu, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and even closer to the natural wonders of Kommeno Peninsula, Grecotel Danilia Village is free to visit for Grecotel guests. What kind of breakfast do you offer? Grecotel is famous for its lavish breakfast spreads—a mouth-watering buffet laden with an array of fresh fruit in season, just-baked breads, cheeses, yogurts, and other dairy, breakfast meats, cereals and muesli, nuts, home-made marmalades, honey and more—mostly organic and locally-sourced. What facilities do you have for children and can you fit extra beds in your rooms? Yes, we can certainly fit extra beds in the rooms. At Corfu Imperial, children have their own amenities, dining menus, welcome gifts, a free tasty corner with healthy snacks and plenty of activities under the Discovery Adventures programme and the Grecoland Club. The Grecoland Club was created entirely with kids in mind and has regular, supervised, morning and afternoon activities. GrecoBaby is the solution for those travelling with babies and tots up to the age of 3. GrecoKids (3-6 years old) and Greco Juniors (7-12 years old) offers brightly coloured benches and tables, costumes, crafts, activities and competitions create a magical holiday experience. Teens from the age of 13 can also participate in activities organised by Grecoteens. From morning to night, there is plenty to keep them occupied, such as tennis, basketball and football tournaments, dancing sessions, parties and more. Discovery Adventures is a program for children that includes outdoor activities, developed to bring awareness of the environment, nature culture and healthy eating. What message would you like to give Hotel Guru readers? If the land of the Hellenes is home to the best hospitality in the world, imagine what it’s like to stay at Grecotel – the leading collection of luxury resorts and hotels in Greece. Set on the secluded tip of the Komenno Peninsula, Corfu Imperial is where style and elegance come to holiday.
