Hotel Review

This gorgeous property is located between Blois and Tours near to the small town of Onzain and is surrounded by 70 hectares of tended woodland. It is the perfect location for discovering the vineyards of Vouvray amongst others and visiting the many famous Loire chateaux. The grounds are perfect for cycling, walking or even some fishing. The character of the old building is calmly presented. It exudes the fun and gaiety of the past. Bedrooms are in either the chateau or the carriage house. Don't expect cool, grey interiors, the emphasis here is on traditional style, which simply adds to the overall charm and experience, and you will have comfy beds, beautiful linen and Clarins products. It's the perfect location for couples or family groups. Large pool, tennis court and pétanque and there are exciting plans for additional facilities in the future. After all this activity we must eat, and we mean 'must'. Chef Remy Giraud, two Michelin stars, transforms the ordinary into the sublime. Superlatives are not out of place - the tastiest, the lightest, the most beautiful, one could go on and the impressive wine list is accessible and well priced. Not surprisingly with all this culinary expertise and lovely vegetable gardens, there is a stunning cooking school which opened in 2016. Located in a wonderful space behind the carriage house is a bright airy room with all of the equipment one needs to prepare fabulous dishes under the careful attention of Chef Rémy Giraud. Pupils from 5 upwards - there is hope for all of us.
