If you want a hotel with all the 5-star embellishments without the white table cloth service in St. Moritz - come to Grace La Margna Hotel. Located just above the train station, the hotel is definitely the most accessible with ski lifts, train, buses and the stunning Lake Moritz just a few minutes walk in every direction. The hotel is a boutique 5-star hotel and is smaller in size compared to the other domineering properties like Badrutt’s Palace and Kempinski Grand Hotel des Bains but it has everything you need. There’s a great wellness centre with 24-hour fitness centre, indoor pool, sauna and steam rooms, as well as UV collagen-boosting beds. There’s a very cool yet trendy vibe running throughout the hotel with fun art (which can be purchased by QR code) yet surprisingly, it is a very old crowd of retirees who choose to stay at this chic boutique property in the alps. Reception staff can be cool and come across aloof to try and elevate the exclusiveness of the hotel but it balances out with the super friendly restaurant team who make dining in-house fun. There are multiple dining options but my advice would be to choose the bar over the main restaurant for a more chilled night with great food and drinks and don’t forget to get your Swiss fondue fix at their award-winning restaurant, Stuvetta Moritz because it may just be one of the best traditional alpine eateries in the village.
