Dating from 1892, the Adriatic was remodelled to create a hip boutique hotel in 2015. The 14 rooms and four suites have wooden parquet floors, high ceilings and big windows, king-size beds, and grey marble bathrooms with rain-showers. The best ones afford views over Rovinj's pretty harbour, rimmed by pastel-coloured Venetian-era buildings and filled with wooden fishing boats.
The ground floor cafe is popular with locals for morning coffee and sunset drinks overlooking the sea. The adjoining brasserie, displaying quirky artworks commissioned especially for the hotel, serves a magnificent a la carte breakfast, followed by creative Mediterranean dishes prepared from fresh local ingredients - Adriatic seafood, Istrian truffles, Boškarin beef, and traditional handmade pasta. Your waiter will explain a bit about each dish and also advise on wine pairing – don't miss out on tasting Istria's velvety red Teran and white summery Malvazija. Guests can borrow hotel bicycles, and also use the rooftop pools at the nearby sister-hotel Grand Park. A romantic escape offering highly-personalised service, open all year.
