Stay in Paris’ Latin Quarter at Hotel Dame des Arts within walking distance of many of the city’s best-loved sights. Notre Dame, the Louvre, Jardin de Luxembourg and the River Seine are all just a short walk from the hotel, while Saint-Michel metro station is just 50 metres from the door. Much of the city, however, can be seen without stepping out onto the street, as the hotel’s rooftop bar offers amazing 360-degree views across the Parisian skyline.
Rooms vary from substantial suites with outdoor terraces and Eiffel tower views to more compact options, but all are comfortable with Diptique products in the bathrooms, coffee pods from a Parisian coffee-roaster and artisan teas. There are options for inter-connecting and accessible rooms.
Downstairs, the reception area doubles up as an exhibition space, a nod to the area’s historic artistic associations, while comfy sofas, coffee table books and mood lighting make it an inviting place to relax. A concierge service, either in person or via WhatsApp, is on hand for restaurant recommendations or to book the sauna, which is ideal for unwinding after a day exploring the city. There’s also a fitness suite with a striking curved wooden ceiling and state-of-the-art equipment.
In summer months, the hotel’s restaurant Pimpan, extends into a tucked-away courtyard garden while in winter the heated indoor terrace adds additional seating for diners as well as those keen to sample one of the bar’s cocktails. The menu is largely French with fusion twists and regular seasonal updates. Choose between the à la carte dishes or a tasting menu while, at the weekend, brunch is a popular option. The breakfast buffet offers a very good choice.

Why do people love staying at Hôtel Dame des Arts?
Guests fall in love with Dame des Arts for its unbeatable central location in the heart of Paris’ historic Left Bank, right in the legendary Arts and Letters quarter. It’s a place where culture, creativity and Parisian life intersect effortlessly. The rooftop bar, offering breathtaking 360-degree views over the city’s rooftops and landmarks, is a real showstopper. Add to that a dynamic, friendly and genuinely attentive team, and the result is a hotel that feels both vibrant and welcoming from the moment you arrive.
What kind of breakfast do you offer?
Breakfast at Dame des Arts is a celebration of French morning rituals. Guests enjoy a generous continental/French buffet featuring classic French pastries — buttery croissants, pain au chocolat and fresh artisanal bread — alongside a selection of French cheeses and charcuterie. Breakfast is served in our in-house restaurant, often spilling out into the garden or courtyard when the weather allows, creating a relaxed atmosphere. For those who prefer a slower start, in-room breakfast is available on request.
Can you recommend good places to eat out locally?
Absolutely — and our guests certainly have their favourites. For classic Parisian dining, Le Procope, La Jacobine, Chez Fernand and Au Père Louis are perennial hits. Those looking for something more bistronomic often love Oktobre, Comme Chai Toi or Didon. And honestly, that’s just the beginning — the list is long. Our Concierge is always delighted to sit down with guests and tailor recommendations to their tastes… and can talk about restaurants for days without running out of ideas.
Which are your most popular room types, and why?
The Signature Terrace Eiffel rooms are without doubt among our most sought-after. They offer an exceptional view of the Eiffel Tower at a relatively accessible price point, making them one of the best value-for-money options in the hotel. Rooms with Eiffel Tower views are rare in Paris, and this combination of view, terrace and affordability makes it a highly desirable — and hard-to-find — product.
What facilities do you have for children, and can you fit extra beds in your rooms?
We love welcoming families. For children, we offer colouring books, board games and even custom-made T-shirts for kids and babies, with more child-friendly amenities coming soon. In terms of accommodation, we have Family Rooms (Classic Connecting Rooms), as well as three rooms equipped with sofa beds. Some rooms can also accommodate a baby cot for newborns, making the hotel suitable for families of different sizes and ages.
What message would you like to give The Hotel Guru readers?
Dame des Arts is not designed to impress. It is designed to be felt. On the Left Bank, the house unfolds like a living narrative — a place where one doesn’t simply stay, but settles in. Here, the art of Parisian living takes shape through cinema, literature, contemporary art and design, woven naturally into the rhythm of everyday life. Nothing is staged. Culture is not displayed; it is lived. A film reference surfaces in a conversation, a book waits to be opened, a material invites touch, a silhouette of Paris frames the moment. Design is intuitive, hospitality sincere, elegance effortless. Everything encourages guests to slow down, to observe, to let themselves drift. To experience Paris at their own pace — while Dame des Arts quietly takes care of the rest.
The 360-degree views from the rooftop bar alone are a reason to book. On a clear day you can see practically the entire city.

Paris’ fashion pack have a new Left Bank hang-out thanks to this mid-century marvel, which takes its style cues from French New Wave cinema. Earthy tones and natural materials keep things au courant, as does a buzzy Mexican restaurant. According to locals, the panoramic views from the ninth-floor rooftop bar are among the best in the whole city.
