This bed-and-breakfast is the kind of place we love: simply, yet attractively furnished, immaculately kept and personally run with great attention to detail and rates that aren’t going to break the bank. A fine looking villa, in typical white-walled, tiled-floored Capri style, it has 16 spotless bedrooms, whose unfussy elegance, wrought-iron beds with excellent mattresses, colourful pictures, smart fabrics and cheerful bathrooms make them a pleasure to stay in. The stylish pool is surrounded by lawns with gardens of heady-scented pine and citrus trees and spectacular sea views beyond. Take breakfast on the terrace – till noon if you like – in the shade of lemon trees. Owners Pietro and Paola are on hand to help at the drop of a hat.
