“A trendy boutique hotel set in the heart of Chelsea. Light and airy rooms and suites have floor-to-ceiling windows, 360-degree views and rainfall showers. Between floral-filled interiors, eye-popping art, delicious eateries, and cosy bedrooms, there’s something to stir each of the senses. ”

Hotel review

Enter through Starbright Floral Design's fragrant shopfront, fitting for NYC's historic Flower District. Bear with a rather confusing lift system to arrive at Lobby Bar, serving Roman comfort food and aperitifs while the three-storey glass Conservatory hosts co-workers (until the DJ takes over, after dark). Rooms are compact but clever: floor-to-ceiling windows framing soaring skyline views, smartly placed coat hooks, and a pull-out desk for quick emails. Modern but cosy, it’s a reliable hideaway, but eye-popping art and lively events create vibrant energy.

The Fleur Room rooftop delivers 360° views with nightly music, hosting full body sculpt classes by day. You're seven minutes from Madison Square Garden and Penn Station, twenty minutes' walk from the Edge Observatory - the city's highest outdoor sky deck with glass floors and angled walls that beat even the hotel's impressive views. Close to Times Square without the chaos, near neighbourhood gems like Chelsea's galleries and the High Line. Service is friendly, occasionally inconsistent. Reasonable priced, it’s ideal for digital nomads and business travellers who want convenience with some personality.

Moxy Chelsea

Moxy Chelsea is part of a new breed of hotel unapologetic about its compact bedroom size, and focused instead on slick design, great public spaces and keeping prices down. It is a stylish, wallet-friendly alternative to many of New York’s more pricey boutique properties.
