See what they say

Why do people love staying in your hotel? Guests often tell us that they adore the serenity and luxury of Penrhiw, our warm Welsh welcome and impeccable customer service, which we pride ourselves on.

What is there to do in the area? We are lucky to be situated perfectly in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park and only a short distance from the magnificent Preseli Hills. This allows guests to explore the stretching North Pembrokeshire coastline and beautiful sandy beaches, as well as the heights of the Preseli Hills, from which the bluestones at Stonehenge came.

Just a short distance from Penrhiw is the city of St Davids, with its Cathedral and adjacent Bishop's Palace.

A boat trip to neighbouring Ramsey Island to explore the varied sea birds and seal population.

What kind of breakfast do you offer? For bed and breakfast guests we offer a continental breakfast between 8.30am and 9.30am daily.

Do you offer other meals? And can you recommend good places to eat out locally?  At our three AA Rosette restaurants, ‘Blas’, meaning ‘Taste’ in Welsh, is located in our sister hotel Twr y Felin. We also offer a selection of carefully curated old-world wines to accompany our menu, influenced by the season and locality, with dishes designed to reflect Wales and its produce.

Which are your most popular room types, and why? Meadow Suite is the most popular as it is not only our best room in the house, as it is located in the Coach House, adjacent to the main Penrhiw House; it’s a spacious lounge with contemporary art by Brendan Stuart Burns adorning the walls. It also has a spacious terrace that leads onto the Meadow and 12 acres of grounds, including a woodland walkway.

In the main house, the Garden Room, with its contemporary four-poster bed, bay window seating area, high 19th-century Priory ceilings, and spacious shower room, is a must-stay room.

What facilities do you have for children, and can you fit extra beds in your rooms? We welcome children aged 12 and over. We don’t accommodate extra beds in our rooms.

What message would you like to give Hotel Guru readers? Penrhiw Priory is a peaceful, relaxing venue just minutes from St Davids, its Cathedral, and Whitesands Beach. When you book your stay with us, you can be sure that you’ll experience the ultimate in luxury and relaxation. We pride ourselves on providing impeccable service, attention to detail, and, above all, a warm Welsh welcome to ensure your time in Pembrokeshire is truly memorable.
