Map & Location

See what they say

Why do people love staying in your hotel? Guests love Richmond Hill Hotel for its quintessential blend of historic Georgian charm and modern comfort, set atop one of London’s most beautiful hills with easy access to Richmond’s green spaces and river paths. Richmond Hill Hotel blends historic elegance with contemporary comfort, offering a characterful alternative to city-centre stays. Rooms span two styles: Georgian spaces rich in period charm, and the sleeker Hill Collection with a more modern feel, while generously sized suites are a rare highlight in this part of London. At the heart of the hotel, 144 On The Hill is a lively local favourite for seasonal cooking. Thoughtful facilities, from an on-site gym to elegant event spaces, are complemented by a much-loved terrace that shifts seamlessly from winter retreat to summer social hub.

What is there to do in the area? Richmond is one of London’s most scenic boroughs with so much to do -

Richmond Park, a vast Royal Park with deer, woodland trails and panoramic views.
Riverside walks and cycle routes along the Thames.
Historic attractions such as Hampton Court Palace and Kew Gardens
A charming town centre of boutiques, independent cafés and galleries. There’s something for families, couples, leisure travellers and business guests alike.

What kind of breakfast do you offer? We serve a generous buffet breakfast each morning in 144 On The Hill, our signature restaurant. Options include a Full English breakfast alongside fresh pastries and continental favourites, everything you need to fuel your day in London. Breakfast is served from 7 am to 11 am daily

Do you offer other meals? And can you recommend good places to eat out locally? Yes, our restaurant, 144 On The Hill is open throughout the day and evening for lunch, dinner, cocktails and afternoon tea, with a seasonally inspired British menu and relaxed yet refined setting.

If guests wish to explore locally, some excellent dining options in Richmond include:

Ottolenghi – A Richmond staple for bold, vegetable-led cooking and beautifully executed Middle Eastern–inspired flavours. Effortlessly stylish, consistently excellent, and ideal for relaxed brunches, lunches or takeaway feasts.
Petersham Nurseries – A destination in its own right. Seasonal, produce-driven cooking served in a romantic greenhouse setting, where heritage, craft and a deep respect for the land define the experience.

Which are your most popular room types, and why? Our most sought-after stays include: Georgian Suites
Located within the hotel’s original Georgian structure, these suites are defined by generous proportions and classic detailing. High ceilings, elegant furnishings and, in select rooms, freestanding baths give them a refined, traditional feel. Calm and quietly impressive, they suit guests drawn to heritage and a sense of occasion.

Hill Collection Suites
The Hill Collection Suites offer a more contemporary approach. Clean-lined and light-filled, with separate living and sleeping areas, they are designed for comfort and ease. Understated and practical, they work particularly well for longer stays or guests combining leisure with work.

What facilities do you have for children and can you fit extra beds in your rooms?

We welcome families with a range of family-friendly rooms and suites (including interconnecting rooms in the Hill Collection category), as well as offering: Cots for children up to age 2 and Extra beds or sofa beds for children aged 2–16 (charged per child).

Our restaurant also features children’s menu options and seasonal children’s afternoon tea to make family dining fun and easy. Whilst Richmond Park offers acres of open parkland for cycling, picnics and deer spotting, while the Thames riverside is ideal for gentle walks, boat trips and ice-cream stops. Nearby Kew Gardens adds a more immersive day out, with glasshouses, treetop walks and child-friendly trails

What message would you like to give The Hotel Guru readers? “At Richmond Hill Hotel we believe in creating stays that feel effortlessly memorable, whether you’re discovering Richmond’s parks and riverside paths, reconnecting with loved ones over afternoon tea, or simply unwinding in a beautifully styled room after a day in London. Our team is passionate about hospitality and ready to curate local experiences that make every visit uniquely yours.”
