Hotel review

The Oaks Ranch may be located just 5 minutes-drive from both south and north Broulee beach but it feels like a true blue countryside getaway with wildlife as your closest and only neighbours. Spread out over more than 300 acres, guests are greeted by mobs of kangaroos and can spot other wildlife from private villas which offer sweeping views of the Aussie bush. There are 14 private well-furnished and well-appointed villas with an elevated rustic charm featuring designer furnishings, artisan snacks and curated artwork on walls. The boutique property has a magnesium pool, 9-hole golf course and offers direct access to awesome surf, quaint beaches, as well as whale watching and mountain walks in the Gulaga National Park. The restaurant ARLO features locally sourced produce with fresh market fish direct from sea to table. Staff are energetic, friendly and offer outstanding tips on exploring the region as a local. A definite secret gem on New South Wales’ south coast.
