“Understated luxury and traditional elegance in a former convent. Classical furnishings, antiques, and floral fabrics adorn rooms, suites, and apartments. Super comfy beds and marble bathrooms. Excellent restaurant and small spa. A great choice for any traveller.”

Hotel Review

Located in the centre of Brussels within minutes of the European Parliament, the Royal Palace and the Boulevard de Waterloo with its full array of worldwide designer brands, The Stanhope could not be better located and reflects its clientele, a mixture of eurocrats, business people and tourists. The entrance, within a row of town houses, is low key but the lobby/reception/sitting area/bar is cavernous and light with marble floor, marble plinths with busts of dignitaries from the Napoleonic wars, Empire chairs, The Library Bar and even a billiard table, but it’s the staff at reception who are the heart of this area; they are friendly, helpful knowledgeable and smiley. Breakfast is served in the Brighton Restaurant (three Michelin knives and forks) or on sunny days in the courtyard with its one hundred year old magnolia tree. Bedrooms with wooden floors and cupboards, and marble bathrooms, many with bath tub and shower are quiet with super comfy beds and good quality linen.

The Stanhope is not a statement hotel, but delivers on every level.
