Blissful solitude can be found at this divinely intimate 400 year old villa. Situated on a peninsula, hidden in a tropical coconut grove, it’s a magical spot with a spectacular three-sided aspect of the salty expansive Lake Vembanad. The entrance, a narrow, peak-roofed, oriental-style porch-way piques the interest of what’s inside. An interior courtyard ornately carved in jack fruit wood is a fine example of the intricate workmanship and detailing once used in traditional buildings. Recently renovated to a high standard, there are only two bedrooms with modern en suite outdoor bathrooms allowing guests to shower under a blue or starry sky. A small team of staff are on hand to look after a maximum of 4 people so it’s designed to be an extremely special, pampering experience. The well tended garden has bamboo, almond and cashew trees and there’s a beautiful pool to cool off in.
