Hotel Review
Down from Iguazu falls and the Missiones and across the river from Paraguay. It’s an 1868 Estancia, run by the charming Nicolas, with its own private lake fit for wild life and fishing. The restaurant sources locally the river fish and tropical and citrus fruit come from the organic garden. The rooms have a décor in sympathy with the natural surroundings and have a luxurious amount of space. They have just undergone a full refurbishment to include 8 new deluxe suites, taking the total number of rooms to a refreshingly low 13. This boutique hotel is a favoured weekend away for young marrieds wanting to escape. It’s a haven for bird watchers with 350 species, including herons, big igrets, cowbirds and even toucans. Here are capybara the world’s largest rodent, though quite cuddly, and pirincho birds preening themselves to look like Rod Stewart.
