With its iconic red brick facade overlooking Dublin’s St. Stephens Green in the heart of city, The Shelbourne is something of a Dublin institution. Magnificently restored, the guestrooms are traditional in style while also luxurious and elegant, with high ceilings, plush carpeting, marble bathrooms and decadent linens. The bedrooms to the front of the building afford expansive views over St. Stephens Green and are worth paying a little extra for. Guests are spoiled for choice with an abundance of food and beverage options within the hallowed halls and Sunday lunch in The Saddle Room is a timeless treat. The Shelbourne also boasts an opulent health club, spa and salon with an indoor swimming pool, thermal suites, a state-of-the-art fitness centre and a dance studio. A visit to the neighbouring Little Museum of Dublin is also highly recommended for those with even a passing interest in Irish history.
