Seaside charmer, Nice, has been a popular beach destination since the 18th century. Glamorous, but not as exclusive as some of the towns on the Côte d’Azur, the capital of the region is easy to get to, easy to explore on foot, and relatively easy to find an idyllic stretch of sand to yourself in.
