About Kotor

Tucked between fjord-like bays and craggy mountains, Kotor is a medieval marvel with a bohemian soul. Cobbled lanes snake through its UNESCO-listed old town, where baroque palazzos now house everything from sleek designer suites to charming stone-walled hideaways. Along the water, you'll find elegant boutique stays with private beaches and luxe spa hotels gazing out over the yachts. Whether you're after romance, history, or coastal glamour, the best places to stay in Kotor deliver it all with style.

Kotor’s timeless appeal lies in its mix of natural beauty, history, and culture. You can climb the fortress walls for sweeping views, wander alleyways echoing with centuries of Venetian influence, or duck into tiny churches that whisper old secrets. Being based in the Old Town puts you just steps from museums, bustling squares, and the odd pop-up jazz gig. For a laid-back day, hop between waterfront cafés or enjoy fresh oysters at a restaurant tucked beneath medieval arches. Foodies can savour everything from grilled octopus to slow-cooked lamb, often paired with crisp local wines. For a livelier scene, the bars along the marina buzz into the evening. Fancy a beach day? Choose a stylish base with its own stretch of shoreline and relax on the bay. Wellness fans will love hotels with serene spas and plunge pools overlooking the water. And if you're drawn to peaceful seclusion, consider a romantic villa tucked between Kotor and Perast—perfect for a quiet break or honeymoon hideaway. Shopping is low-key but charming: think handmade jewellery, olive oils, and artisan ceramics. Wherever you stay, Kotor makes it easy to balance discovery with down time.
