The beaches on the Atlantic side of Provincetown have long been included in the list of ‘America’s Best’. Part of the charm must come from the rolling dunes, but there’s also something to be said for this being one of the few spots on the east coast where you can watch the sun set into the water.
The atmosphere is one of relaxed acceptance and today as well as being popular with artists and writers, Provincetown is also known for being popular within the LGBT community. It’s a cliche, but there’s a colourful nightlife scene as well as the impressive array of galleries and rich cultural life.
