“Built by Maharaja Umaid Singh in 1933 this former hunting lodge is still a favourite retreat of the royal family. Located on the edge of a picturesque lake, large, art deco style rooms make the most of the views. There is an Oriental Garden plus an outdoor pool and tennis courts. A charming stay.”

Hotel Review

Built in 1933 by Maharaja Umaid Singh, the walls of this 19-room hunting lodge are hung with African hunting trophies and watercolours by Snaffles. The breeze from the lake and the character of the place make it a unique summer retreat – still the choice of today’s ruling family. There is plenty to entertain - excellent bird life, boating, tennis, squash, a swimming pool and delightful walks around the lake.
