Hotel review

The Mozaga has been in the Bethencourt family for three generations. The B&B’s eight rooms – two with a private sitting room – have thick walls, high, beamed ceilings and are filled with carefully chosen antiques. Make the most of the hamlet’s central location as a touring base, and don’t miss the restaurant (under separate ownership), which is crammed at weekends and has a two-storey picture window that gives on to a blasted lava plain. Generous buffet breakfast. No pool.
